Improved Performance — Advanced Film Development

• Improved Film Technology: Reduces the development of efflorescence, while preventing most common residue agents from staining the coated surface.
• Enhanced Water Repellency: CANYON TONE STAIN meets or exceeds all NCRHP,
  ASHTO & U.S. DOT standards for water-repellency, wind driven rain and chloride ion penetration.
• Increased Adhesion: The new formula achieves improved penetration, allowing for exceptional adhesion over concrete and masonry substrates.
• Highly Permeable: CANYON TONE STAIN forms a highly “breathable” membrane
  (9+ U.S. Perms*), allowing moisture vapor to escape from the substrate and building interior.
• Improved “Heat Aging”: Results in a more stable product during shipment and storage.
• Superior Color Stability: Outstanding color retention and ultraviolet resistance after 1500 hours of accelerated testing in accordance with ASTM G 23 in a QUV cabinet.
  1. Color Retention: Within five (5) N.B.S. (National Bureau of Standards) units when tested in accordance with ASTM D 2244 and ASTM D 1729.
  2. Ultraviolet Resistance: No chalking or flaking when tested in accordance with
  ASTM D 659 and D 722.
  

Application Improvement — Increased Open Time

• More Forgiving: CANYON TONE STAIN is easier to work with, and more forgiving than ever before. It applies easily by roller or spray, wetting into itself to eliminate spray or roller patterns in the cured film.
• No Adhesion Problems: Subsequent coats flow into previously applied, forming an inseparable inter-coat bond.
  

Distribution Improvement — Two-Base Tinting System

• Less Bases: The tinting system has been reduced from 4 bases down to 2 bases — Pastel and Accent, eliminating the need to stock 4 separate tint bases.
• Light Colors: Pastel Base can be used “as is” for tinting most light to medium-based colors.
• Dark Colors: Accent Base can be used for tinting all deep and accent-based colors.
